Strathcona community gardens plant sale

We went to the Strathcona Community Gardens plant sale today and it was fantastic. We got a daylily, lettuce, basil, st. john’s wort, sweet peas and anise hyssop for $6. Unbelievable! And there was free lemonade, chili, cornbread and cake. It doesn’t get much better than that. I found out about the sale from my latest web obsession it’s as addictive as craftster but all about plants. This was the first time I’ve really walked around Strathcone, it’s really cute and reminds me so much of Victoria, especially Fernwood. It doesn’t really feel like Vancouver, which is nice sometimes.
Another one day weekend and I’m back to work tomorrow. I’m so excited that our friend Red is coming to play with Shapes and Sizes on the 14th. I think it’s going to be a really great show, I can’t wait!

dang! i missed the strathcona gardens sale. i went a couple of years ago & got great stuff. unfortunately, i’ve got a black thumb so everything died. but it’s a really pretty place. i think i just might head over now for some delicious mulberry picking!
